How does a GI Bill claim actually get paid?

Not the eligibility rules — the pipeline. Every education claim either resolves by automation in about a day, or lands in a queue worked by human Veteran Claims Examiners — and that queue has an arrival rate, a capacity, and a breaking point. VA's own market-research documents say the system runs at roughly 60% automation today. This page is a working simulation of that pipeline. Move the controls and watch what automation, enrollment surges, and staffing actually do to the clock.

Independent, and honest about what it is. This site is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The model's stated rates and times come from VA's published RFI 36C10D26Q0163 (July 2026); volumes are normalized — the public record does not publish weekly claim counts, so the simulator uses 100 claims/week as its unit and every parameter is graded in the provenance ledger.
